Our history matters. Our firm has grown and evolved from its humble beginnings to Western Canada’s go-to executive search and leadership advisory firm. We started this firm in 2009 thinking ‘there’s got to be a better way to do search.’  A more personalized, customized and, frankly, fun way to do search. Ours is a people business and working with people, helping people and getting the best out of people should be enjoyable! Since then, we’ve evolved into a full service human capital firm that serves as a trusted advisor and a true partner to our clients for all of their people-related essentials.

Although Pekarsky & Co. was officially incorporated in July 2009, our roots could be traced back to the 1930s.  Founding Partner, Adam Pekarsky, had a grandfather on his dad’s side, Leo, who was a practicing lawyer back then.  His grandfather on his mom’s side was Henry Singer, who brought an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community through both his menswear store and his deep involvement with the Edmonton Eskimos football team and numerous other civic philanthropic pursuits. It should not be surprising, therefore, that today Pekarsky & Co. combines excellence in the people business and a keen sense of community as well.

In April 2014 the firm welcomed its first ever employee, Ranju Shergill, into the partnership. Having enjoyed a front row seat to the firm’s growth and evolution since inception in 2009, Ranju added not only invaluable institutional memory but excellent search expertise and leadership credentials.

A percentage of all revenues generated by the Firm are earmarked for causes that matter to us.

We served as a long-time Gold Level sponsor of the Candy Cane Gala in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and, for eight consecutive years, we participated in the Gordie Howe CARES Alzheimer’s hockey tournament; a cause for which our firm has directly helped raise over $430,000. We continue to serve on not-for-profit Boards throughout the city.
