Neel joined Pekarsky & Co. as a Research Associate in May 2023. His primary role is to conduct the group’s research and analysis while also supporting the firm’s strategic business development initiatives. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Management which he obtained from the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Prior to joining the firm, Neel initially gained research-related experience as an Analyst with a marketing firm. This is where he developed his people and networking skills and truly realized the value of relationship building.
Neel resonates as a third cultured kid (TCK) and values cultural diversity at his core given his upbringing living in Tanzania, Kenya, and now Canada. In 2021, Neel joined the UBC Afro-Caribbean Student Association, one of the biggest led independent student groups, to continue his efforts in promoting diversity and cultural understanding. He now hopes to continue this passion in a professional capacity.
Outside of work, Neel enjoys giving back to the community having volunteered with the likes of the Red Cross and East African Rotary Club. He also capitalizes on his artistic intuition by exploring oil on canvas portraits or drawing a mock-up version of his future house on Sketch Up. Tennis, sailing, swimming, and soccer are where Neel channels his competitive spirit.
