Chief Administrative Officer (WR: 538)
We have partnered with Calgary’s most prestigious boutique litigation firm to help them add a new Chief Administrative Officer (“CAO”) to their team. Our client provides the highest caliber of legal representation on significant complex commercial and construction litigation matters, competing with national and global firms in Canada. Our client prides itself on being “boutique” and the collaborative, collegial culture of the firm.
Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, the CAO will work closely with the partnership, and be an integral part of the firm. He or she will have oversight of all corporate services pertaining to the activities and business of our client and will be responsible for a broad range of duties, both strategic and hands-on. Functions will include financial accounting, general firm management, human resources, operations, professional compliance, facilities, information technology, security, marketing and strategic planning. In coordination with the Managing Partner and the partnership, this role is also responsible for leading the implementation of corporate strategies, business plans and budgets. This role is responsible to the partnership for the smooth and effective operation and growth of the firm.
This is a generalist role with incredible breadth, and a fantastic opportunity for the professional who likes to be strategic, hands-on, problem solve and be a “jack or jill of all trades”.

- 10+ years of management and leadership experience in the delivery of corporate services, with at least 5 years in a professional services firm
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- Strong people leadership and engagement skills
- The ability to manage and identify business risks and ensure operational compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Facilities management experience including premises and equipment leases, procurement, space planning and office moves
- An aptitude for technology
