Our client, 4-H Alberta is a youth development organization that guides, supports and inspires Alberta’s greatest resource, the youth of Alberta. They are Alberta’s premier youth organization that encourages youth to learn to do by doing, and empowers them to become leaders and volunteers in their clubs, communities, countries, and the world.
Having recently completed an important transition that saw the three partners responsible for 4-H (the 4-H Council, 4-H Foundation and Agriculture and Forestry) realigned into one organizational structure, 4-H Alberta is seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Financial Officer to add to the senior leadership team. The CFO will have responsibility for all aspects of the financial affairs of both 4-H Alberta and the Alberta 4-H Foundation.
Imperative to success in this role is a youth-first mentality that will guide all decision making as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will need a CPA designation and will bring a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior financial role, previous experience working with Boards, and be bondable. Not-for-Profit Foundation experience working with endowment funds would be considered an asset.
