The College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (“CARNA”) is the professional and regulatory body for more than 37,000 registered nurses and nurse practitioners in Alberta and is mandated to define and uphold the standards of safe and ethical nursing practices. CARNA serves the public by providing progressive, innovative leadership that encourages professional excellence and influences health policy, and regulating registered nurses in order to promote safe, competent, and ethical nursing care.
The Chief Information Officer (“CIO”) is a new role that will promote knowledge sharing by strengthening the analysis of data collected by the business process and IT systems of CARNA in order to provide Albertans with safe, competent and ethical nursing care while providing progression and innovative leadership that encourages professional excellence and influences health policy.
The ideal candidate will be seasoned technology leader with a successful track record of executing innovative technology strategies to support organizational improvements. Strong leadership skills and exceptional communication abilities are required to guide a talented team responsible for Organizational Performance, Business Supports, IT Infrastructure and Records Management.
