Are you an experienced leader with expertise in counterparty risk management in the construction industry? Are you looking to work for an employee-owned, values-driven organization that invests in its people and has a collaborative and caring work culture? Then we’d like to hear from you!

We’ve recently partnered with Graham, a growing, dynamic and innovative construction solutions provider with a history of success dating back to 1926. Graham ranks among Canada’s largest construction companies, and as an employee-owned company, its employees capitalize on the organization’s collective success and are invested in helping Graham create lasting value.

Graham is looking to add a Counterparty Risk Manager to its dynamic risk team. Reporting to the Director, Risk Management, this individual will lead a small team and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of counterparty risk management as it relates to partnering with subcontractors, suppliers, owners and other project stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an exceptional team, forge strong relationships across Graham’s business, and take ownership of the counterparty risk assessment process, which is critical to Graham’s success. This individual will also manage and grow Graham’s subcontractor default insurance program, another integral part of the company’s counterparty risk management strategy.

We are specifically seeking candidates who:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
  • Have a CIP or CRM designation
  • Bring 7 to 10 years of experience in risk management, underwriting (surety or commercial), or supply chain management
  • Have excellent knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis
  • Bring 3 to 5 years of people management experience

Graham is a top employer in Canada, and employees at Graham build long-term careers with the organization. If this role sounds like it might be a fit, please reach out to Erin Dand, Client Partner at Pekarsky & Co. for more information at 403-407-1966 or erin@pekarskyco.com.
