Our client is a Canadian private equity investment fund with approximately $400M in assets under management dispersed across a diverse portfolio of operating companies.
The Director, Finance & Operations, a newly created role, will be responsible for partnering with the management teams of each operating company in support of their operational finance, accounting and reporting requirements, while also playing an active role in the identification and improvement of operational strategies, processes and policies. Furthermore, the successful candidate will sit on operating company boards to ensure reporting requirements for the investment fund are met and necessary support is provided to management teams to address their strategic operations and operational finance needs.
The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 15+ years of finance and accounting experience, ideally in a multi-site business environment, with budgeting, forecasting and financial due diligence experience a must. An understanding of supply chain, distribution, manufacturing and franchise business models, as well as previous experience in M&A analysis and post-merger integration would be considered advantageous.
