Director, Stakeholder Experience (WR: 472)

We are excited to have recently partnered with the Calgary Downtown Association (CDA) in their search for a Director, Stakeholder Experience. Established in 1988 under Alberta’s Municipal Government Act, CDA is one of Calgary’s 12 Business Improvement Areas (BIA) in Calgary. CDA represents more than 2,600 ratepayers/members within its 120-block geography of downtown Calgary. Funding for CDA comes via a business tax levy collected by the City of Calgary from all members within the CDA geography.

The CDA exists to market downtown Calgary as a desirable place to live, work, shop and play while advocating for the needs of downtown business owners and operators. CDA aims to increase the vitality of downtown Calgary by stewarding a place brand strategy for Stephen Avenue Mall and Barclay Street Mall and by collaborating with key civic and private sector leaders to support Calgary’s brand building efforts.

Reporting to the Executive Director, The Director, Stakeholder Experience is a critical role for CDA as it guides and informs the delivery of the organization’s new 3-year strategy. Specifically, the role will lead the placemaking, member relations, and information gathering pillars of CDA’s organizational transformation.
