Executive Vice President, Land Development (WR: 445)

Anthem owns, co-owns and manages 4.2 million square feet of retail, industrial, residential rental and office space across Western North America. Their expertise in land acquisition runs deep; having developed more than 60 communities and currently holding over 5,000 acres of land across Western North America.
The EVP, Land Development will be an open-minded, entrepreneurial and forward-thinking land development expert with the ability to strategically define, assess and enact upon growth opportunities for the company’s land development business, including but not limited to, geographic expansion, existing market growth and urban geography/design opportunities. This individual will also be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the company’s land development process, ensuring a more formalized integrated development model across markets.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 20 years’ experience in land development, including at least 5 years of executive leadership experience. A professional engineering, finance or business education at an undergraduate level is preferred. An MBA, professional designation or recognized executive development program qualification would be considered an asset. A deep technical understanding of the land development process from acquisition through to sale, as well as a demonstrated strategic view of industry trends and market demands for new development concepts is critical, as is the proven ability to build and execute a vision/strategy and lead change initiatives.
