Financial Planning Analyst, The Calgary Airport Authority (WR: 608)
Our client, The Calgary Airport Authority (the “Authority”) is a private, non-share capital, not-for-profit Corporation, incorporated under the Province of Alberta’s Regional Airports Authorities Act. The Authority is responsible for the management, operation and development of the Calgary International Airport (“YYC”) and Springbank Airport (“YBW”).
As the Authority builds out its Financial Planning & Analysis Team, they are seeking to add a Financial Planning Analyst to the group. The Financial Planning & Analysis Team works collaboratively with the organization to deliver budgeting and forecasting for the Authority. The team works alongside business unit owners to develop valuable reporting and innovative data visualizations that provide detailed analysis and insights to support quality decision making. As critical players in the development of strategies and innovation to support business growth, this team of collaborative self-starters possesses the ability to translate data into compelling stories that inform, influence and guide organizational direction.
The Financial Planning Analyst will assist the other members of the FP&A Team along with other subject matter experts in gathering, validating, and documenting information required for developing recommendations and will source, document, and prepare reports that are used to influence business decisions. This team member will carry out in-depth evaluation and verification of data and will maintain data as appropriate. This role will assist in the development of visualizations, presentations, reports, and memos to display data for use in organizational decisions.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or Finance combined with between 1-3 years of financial analyst experience.
