We are working with a growth-oriented publicly traded oil & gas producer to help them find a contract lawyer to add to the team. The contract term for this role will be 12 months, although there may be opportunity for the role to convert to a full-time position following the contract term.
The successful candidate will report to, and work hand-in-hand with, the General Counsel on a wide variety of legal matters facing the organization. This is a broad in-house role, and the successful candidate could be working on legal matters in any of the following areas: corporate finance and securities, day-to-day commercial, acquisition or divestiture transactions, corporate governance, employment and litigation.
The successful candidate will be a pragmatic lawyer, able to cut through the noise and provide practical, commercially-oriented legal support. He or she will have a low-ego, “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
