Manager, Commercial Revenue – The Calgary Airport Authority (WR: 597)
Our client, The Calgary Airport Authority (the “Authority”) is a private, non-share capital, not-for-profit Corporation, incorporated under the Province of Alberta’s Regional Airports Authorities Act. The Authority is responsible for the management, operation and development of the Calgary International Airport (“YYC”) and Springbank Airport (“YBW”).
As the Authority builds out its Financial Planning & Analysis Team, they are seeking to add a Manager, Commercial Revenue to the group. The Financial Planning & Analysis Team works collaboratively with the organization to deliver budgeting and forecasting for the Authority. The team works alongside business unit owners to develop valuable reporting and innovative data visualizations that provide detailed analysis and insights to support quality decision making. As critical players in the development of strategies and innovation to support business growth, this team of collaborative self-starters possesses the ability to translate data into compelling stories that inform, influence and guide organizational direction.
Working as a strategic resource to support the Authority, the Manager, Commercial Revenue will act as the dedicated primary financial and analytical business partner for the Commercial Services group inclusive of the Commercial, Retail, Ground Transportation, and Parking business units. Sitting within the Commercial Services group day-to-day while reporting administratively to the General Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Manager, Commercial Revenue will support the planning, organizing, execution and evaluation of new revenue generation initiatives, as well as benchmarking, analysis, budgeting and forecasting of existing revenue streams.
Partnering with business unit leaders, the successful candidate will support the development of business cases for new initiatives contributing to the underlying revenue development strategy and will assist to prioritize opportunities through building financial models, performing sensitivity & risk analysis, and developing visualizations and presentations. This role will be a key resource in developing the initiatives, strategies and actions that will get YYC to $20 per enplanement in Non-Aeronautical Revenue by 2025.
The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree with a specialization in Finance, Analysis, or a related field; three to five years of revenue management or financial analysis experience; and highly advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining complex financial models.
