Reporting to the overall leader of Labour & Employee Relations, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic labour and employee relations advice, and guidance and direction to senior operations management. Additionally this role leads a highly skilled team of HR professionals and is accountable for their management and development. The Labour & Employee relations group is responsible for the full scope of a large and complex business unit within an even larger asset portfolio.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in industrial/labour relations or human resource management, though an advanced degree would be considered a strong asset. In addition 15+ years of labour relations experience in an industrial, unionized environment and significant experience as lead negotiator for complex collective bargaining is essential for the role.
