Senior Manager, Human Resources (WR: 376)
BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. (“BURNCO”) is a privately held, fourth generation, family business founded in 1912 in Calgary. Today, BURNCO is over 105 years old and is Canada’s largest independent supplier of ready-mix concrete, a major supplier of asphalt and high quality aggregate products, and operator of a network of Landscape Centres throughout Western Canada. Headquartered in Calgary, BURNCO has over 60 locations with operations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Colorado and Texas.
The Senior Manager, Human Resources (“SM, HR”) role, reporting to the Chief Administration and Financial Officer, is to provide leadership for developing and implementing human resource initiatives that provide a strategic advantage to operations across the organization. These initiatives will drive corporate efficiencies, organizational profit and enhance customer experience.
SM, HR is a key member of the management committee and is tasked with both strategic and tactical leadership responsibilities including overseeing HR Strategy, Workforce Planning & Talent Management, Total Rewards, HRIS, Employee & Labour Relations, Learning & Development and HR Regulation.
The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of professional human resources experience with at least five years in an HR leadership role, an educational background in Business and Human Resources and a CPHR designation. Leadership experience within a private company or related industry with oversight of the HR function across multiple locations and regions is highly desired.
