Trade-mark Lawyers – (WR: 326)
Clark Wilson’s clients change the world. You can help mark those successes.
Clark Wilson is a thriving and collegial regional law firm located in Vancouver, BC. Their team of 80 lawyers and 120 staff represents a diverse range of backgrounds and experience with a common dedication to responsive, thoughtful and comprehensive client service. They are consistently recognized by Canadian Lawyer as one of Western Canada’s top regional firms, and provide an excellent platform for business-minded professionals.
As a result of significant and sustained growth, the firm’s successful Trade-mark practice is now one of the busiest in Western Canada. The team boasts an open and collegial approach to client service, and practitioners ranked among the best in Canada (World Trademark Review, Best Lawyers, Lexpert). While best known for their technology-related work, world-class clients from all sectors include the world’s most valuable brands.
They are looking to add additional talent to support their continued growth in this vital practice area:
A Trade-mark Associate with a thorough, practical understanding of trade-mark law and principles. You have a minimum of three years of experience specializing in trade-mark clearance and prosecution; expertise with enforcement, including opposition and other contentious trade-mark matters is preferred though not essential. You are highly responsive and service-oriented, skilled at developing and managing client relationships, and an excellent communicator with a knack for conveying complex information in a clear and practical manner. This partnership-track position provides a great opportunity to develop your skills working for exceptional clients alongside internationally-recognized practitioners.
A Service Lawyer/ Trade-mark Specialist with extensive experience in trade-mark clearance and prosecution including preparing and filing trade-mark applications, reporting to clients, and responding to Examiner objections. Expertise with opposition and other contentious trade-mark matters is beneficial though not essential. Whether as a lawyer or trade-mark agent, in this role you can have a rewarding career working on challenging and interesting trade-mark matters without the demands typical of a traditional partnership-track position: your billable hour target is reduced, your non-billable commitments are minimal, and the role can be adjusted to respond to your personal needs.
Clark Wilson pride’s itself on their open-minded approach to achieving business solutions and delivering top-notch service. If you believe your passion for trade-mark law, together with your skills, experience, drive and client-service commitment would be a good addition to their team, we are interested in hearing from you!
