YMCA Calgary – Vice President, Facilities & Asset Management (WR: 506)

The YMCA has eight health and wellness facilities, seven child development centres with licensed child care, two outdoor camp sites and over 60 community program sites serving all quadrants of the city. These spaces and programs allow the YMCA to deliver programs, services and opportunities to help the Calgary community connect with others, build life-long skills, and keep active and healthy.
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President, Facilities & Asset Management will be responsible for the overall supervision, management, custodial care and long-term health of the YMCA’s capital assets, projects and properties.
The role is accountable for:
- Facility Management and Cleanliness
- Planning
- Budget Management and Purchasing
- Staff Management and Training
- Project and Contractor Management
- Information and Records
- Health, Safety and Risk
The Vice President, Facilities & Asset Management, will demonstrate an understanding of the YMCA’s mission and professional presence and have the ability to provide leadership and inspire a highly skilled team, including external partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in property/facility operations with at least five years of related management experience. Additionally, strong strategic thinking ability and excellent communication and interpersonal skills is considered essential. The YMCA is looking for a leader that will be engaged and accessible to all staff across the organization.
